Tot Shots
At one point in history, measles killed millions. Only 50 years ago, polio claimed the lives of thousands. With scientific breakthroughs, vaccine developments, and immunization programs, many diseases once considered plagues are now considered non-threatening or even non-existent. While no one can be guaranteed a lifetime free of illness and disease, all children can be ensured a healthy start with proper immunizations. The Tot Shots Program of the Jefferson County Health Department provides free immunizations to all children throughout the county, regardless of income.
